It took 16 hours to download a 7GB game on the Xbox......... wtf? I used to own a PS4 and it would take all day to download on that too. If I purchase a game on either console, I know I'm not playing it until the next day. Thank Feck they didn't go digitally only, not only for that but the price of digital games on these consoles is crazy. I've just got no interest however in purchasing retail games, all that means is I have to keep swapping the disc out, it means I never bother and just play games on my PC instead.

At the beginning of April, Rumble was reintroduced to the game with an increased eight-player lobby count. However, many PvP enthusiasts felt the match type became too crowded and prone to spawn killing. Destiny 2's 1.17 hotfix, announced last Thursday, aims to address both issues. Player counts have been normalized and spawn points have changed to spread out the action during every Rumble match.

This update doesn't address most of the chronic balance issues introduced in the March update, but it does fix a few minor gripes fairly quickly. In terms of community building, however, there's still a lot riding on the major expansion expected to arrive at the beginning of May. While Bungie has been coy about what the DLC will include, developers have teased several new ways to play including possibilities for an additional class.

As far as free updates are concerned, fans will be glad to know Heroic Strike Modifiers will finally be introduced to the game after several delays on Bungie's official development roadmap. The short version of the larger issue is that Destiny 2 fans want increased time investment to lead to the best loot. As it stands right now, that carrot-stick mentality isn't very present. Hotfix 1.17 is nice, but there's still lots of work to be done to win back a waning audience.

Destiny 2 is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC. The hotfix should be live across all platforms.
