Phantasy Star Online 2 Overview
Phantasy Star Online 2 Free Download for PC is a video game in the Phantasy Star series published by Sega. It was released for Microsoft Windows on July 4, 2012, and for PlayStation Vita on February 28, 2013. A spin-off game, Phantasy Star Online 2es, was released for Android on April 7, 2014 and for iOS on May 14, 2014. A PlayStation 4 version has been announced and is scheduled for release sometime in 2016. The game is currently only available commercially in Japan and Southeast Asia, but an English-language patch is available.

The translation patches are wonderful creations. However, using them breaks the Terms of Service for PSO2. (Illegally modifies the game files.) Use the patches at your own risk.
Has anyone been banned for solely using these patches? Short answer: No, there have been no reports of people being banned solely for using the English patches. The only players using the English patch that have received a ban have earned it through other means - cheating, RMT, spam or verbal harassment.
**Final note: If you feel the need to link a screenshot of the game and you do have the patch, please run it through an image editor (e.g. MS Paint) and hide your name. This is recommended so that your account is not easily tied to the fact that you are using the patches.
If you are installing for the first time however, it's recommended that you use the updated setup file here. The preferred method to update the the game itself and the translation patches is through AIDA's Tweaker. The Tweaker is capable of automatically checking for updates and installing updates for the following items: the game itself (including pre-release data), the translation patch, item patch, and much more.

NOTE: To translate the game/item names, you have to launch the game with AIDA's Tweaker. The Tweaker also stops the need for torrenting patches or game files, as it downloads directly from Sega's servers and tends to be faster than Sega's launcher/updater.
